Jell-O, hot dogs, glassware

A hot dog was one of the first things I remember eating as a child when I arrived in America. I was around 3 years old and I remember asking my mom where the bones were in this strange meat.

When I revisited Vietnam in 2008, I saw some bottles of snake wine with their grand claims of health and virility.

In 1950s America, refrigerators were expensive and a luxury. Jello required refrigeration and serving it was somewhat of a status symbol.
